Data provides insights for operators to create efficient workspace design as more companies upgrade their digital capabilities and transition into becoming smart offices. Coworking firms are a prime example of utilizing such technology.
In order to strengthen the sense of community in workplaces, companies are using technologies such as artificial intelligence (AR) and the Internet of Things (IoT).
For example, JustCo, a Singapore-based coworking operator, partnered with wireless networking company Aruba to use data analytics and technology to create a Smart Digital Workplace at its Marina One location.
The JustCo mobile app is another example of using data to improve workspaces by allowing users to locate the nearest available meeting room, work desk, or facilities.
Collected data allows companies to see how the workspace is utilized and understand the behavioral patterns of occupants. A Senion survey found that 60% of employees spent a large amount of time searching for available conference rooms. Using data, a solution can be made to better suit the needs of workers.
