COVID-19 has provided businesses and employees with the perfect opportunity to experiment with remote work. 

Though organizations are slowly moving employees back into the office, they are doing so with a variety of new security measures, including de-densifying the office by staggering attendance and allowing employees to continue working remotely at least part-time.

Some organizations are, in fact, evaluating the viability of remote work as a more permanent arrangement for their employees for a variety of reasons. For starters, employees are asking their companies to allow them to work remotely at least some of the time; many workers have found working from home (or close to home) offers various benefits that they’d like to keep moving forward. 

But the advantages aren’t one sided. Organizations have also found remote work to be a viable option because it can improve productivity levels, business continuity, reduced costs, and employee engagement.
