Debate Around Vaccine Mandates Heats Up As Workers Return To The Office

A recent survey from Seyfarth at Work found that as employees return to the office, vaccine status is becoming a source of conflict and resentment.

According to the results, 37% of companies surveyed reported that vaccinated employees were angry and frustrated by the risk posed by their unvaccinated colleagues. Unvaccinated employees, for their part, are unhappy about how they are being treated and judged at work.

The vaccine mandate debate has also heated up since the FDA granted full approval to the Pfizer-BioNTech Covid shot. The full approval means that those on the fence of getting the vaccine due to safety concerns have less leverage now. At the same time, the full approval has hardened those favoring vaccine mandates.

While surveys have found that a slight majority of workers favor vaccine mandates, a recent survey found that a quarter of employees would strongly consider leaving their place of work if their employer mandates vaccines.
