During a recent live event, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and LinkedIn CEO Ryan Roslansky agreed on one theme: the workplace will never be the same, especially as hybrid models take over.
Both leaders believe that the shift to hybrid work is here to stay and are making adjustments to their own services to accommodate this transition.
โThe great reshuffle is the idea that on one hand, every CEO and leader is trying to figure out what their company looks like moving forward. Are we going to work hybrid, remote, or all in person?โ said Roslansky. โOn the other hand, you have every employee in the world that has worked differently for the past 18 months.โ
According to a LinkedIn survey of 500 CEOs, 71% felt pressured to adjust their work models to offer more flexibility for employees. Additionally, 58% of CEOs said they were optimistic about the impact flexible offerings would have on their employees and the business.
Microsoft’s Work Trend Index found similar results to hybrid working, with 90% of employees indicating that they feel included at work, while 77% stating that their productivity has remained the same since transitioning to remote work.
Although this shift has its fair share of challenges, such as burnout and lack of connection with colleagues, both companies stated that they are dedicated to introducing new features on tools like Microsoft Teams and LinkedIn Learning Hub to improve hybrid work arrangements.
