Business Environment reflects on its latest expansion works by releasing timelapse construction footage, and looks ahead to more serviced office development in 2016 and beyond.
In September 2015, Business Environment (BE) launched a brand new floor of flexible workspace at its existing location at 107 Cheapside, London. The new 6th floor added another 13,374 sq ft of serviced office space to BE’s London portfolio.
“Since opening in September last year we are already at 75% occupancy, with 17 clients ranging from 2 to 22 person offices,” commented Julie Tucker, PR & Marketing Officer at BE.
The new floor makes good on BE’s promise to further expand its flexible workspace footprint in London. Commenting during the launch last year, Managing Director David Saul said that the new floor “marks the start of a strategic expansion programme that aims to grow BE’s presence in Central London and build upon our reputation as a leading serviced offices provider.”
£2million refurbishment
Speaking to OT this week, Julie Tucker commented further on the company’s expansion plans in 2016 and beyond:
“We are about to commence a £2million complete refurbishment of our business centre on Threadneedle Street, to provide 14,000 sq ft of new serviced office space which will be launched in the Autumn,” she said, explaining that it is part of a sale and leaseback scheme connected to BE’s portfolio rebalancing strategy.
“In addition we are actively seeking new premises to achieve our goal of expansion to 20 centres within the next 5 years.”
And, amidst all the demands of this impressive expansion strategy, BE is continuing its pledge to support charities both at home and abroad.
“We are repeating our staff volunteering initiative by funding a trip for two employees to work abroad for two weeks,” added Julie. “This year our &Meetings Operations Coordinator and the Area Manager for Aurora ProClean will journey to Thailand to work at a wildlife and elephant rescue project through the Pod Volunteer organisation.”
Timelapse footage of 6th floor development
These are exciting times for BE and for the wider serviced office market.
Indeed, given the dramatic pace at which the flexible office space market is expanding, it’s certainly not unusual to hear of operators expanding or launching new serviced office locations. But sometimes it’s easy to overlook the lengths to which operators go to create exceptional spaces that meet – and surpass – the expectations of today’s flexible workspace clients.
This timelapse development footage of BE’s new 6th floor goes some way towards demonstrating the careful thought processes and enormous effort that goes into developing some of today’s spectacular spaces.
Filmed across three months of renovation works, the video demonstrates how Business Environment isn’t content with a one-size-fits-all approach – which is probably why this multi-award-winning company is well on-course for continued expansion in 2016 and beyond:
