The LACF will cover two-thirds of the cost of a six-month projectY membership for eligible nonprofits

Los Alamos, NM — September 12, 2016 — projectY cowork Los Alamos, a collaborative workspace and entrepreneurship hub, announced today that it has partnered with the Los Alamos Community Foundation (LACF) to offer local nonprofits a subsidy to the coworking space. The trial of projectY cowork Los Alamos is for a discounted Groves’ membership plan of $15 per month, a 66% discount, which gets them access to projectY for five days and two hours of conference room use per month.

“This partnership allows local nonprofits a trial period at a reduced membership cost to see how they might benefit from projectY membership for the longer term,” said Don Cobb, Vice President of LACF. “Part of the LACF mission is to assess unmet needs in the local philanthropic community and offer some financial and organizational support. We know some of our nonprofits have workspace and conference room needs, which projectY cowork can support.”

The subsidy is available to local 501(c)(3) nonprofits conducting business in Los Alamos County and registered with LACF. If a local nonprofit is not currently registered with LACF they can apply for the trial by contacting LACF at [email protected]. For each interested nonprofit, LACF covers $30 per month, for a total six-month subsidy of $180. The nonprofit pays $15 per month, for a $90 upfront commitment. At the end of the trial period, the respective nonprofit can either terminate or renew their membership with projectY cowork at the full monthly rate, or upgrade to a different plan.

Maximize Flexible Space Revenue

“I look forward to this partnership with Los Alamos Community Foundation to connect local nonprofits with affordable space in a central location downtown,” said Lauren McDaniel, director of projectY. “We offer great amenities, such as high-speed, secure wifi, coffee and snacks, printing and copying, as well as a fun, modern environment in which to work. projectY is a private, nonprofit and we look forward to helping other local nonprofits become more successful and meet their goals and vision for their organization.”

projectY also partners with the AllGoodWork program for a social impact coworking residency program. Those interested in the AllGoodWork residency or the LACF coworking subsidy can contact projectY cowork at [email protected] or 505-661-4862.
