Ever been so frustrated in the office that you just want to smash your stifling cubicle?
That was what the CEO and co-founder of The Working Capitol Ben Gattie did! Smashing a cubicle is The Working Capitol’s unconventional signal that it is introducing a better solution for the people working in Singapore’s Central Business District.
Explaining the high-impact public gesture, Gattie said, “Human-centric space design is crucial for creativity and innovations. The cubicle is the enemy and instead of working in a sea of walls that hinders ideas from open exchange and communication, it is time for every individual to break free. It is possible, and The Working Capitol cannot wait to introduce a new working environment to the Central Business District that inspires collaboration and community to achieve business results.”
Occupying approximately 55,000 sf across 11 floors at 140 Robinson Road, The Working Capitol’s latest space in the CBD provides options for businesses ranging from 1-200 people. Hotdesks, private offices, and duplex penthouses are available. Some levels will be fully dedicated to a single organisation, with other floors containing a mix of private workspaces for smaller companies, permanent desks in an open-plan environment, and hotdesking options for individuals and teams.
Stemming from The Working Capitol’s in-house research on optimal working environments, custom-designed areas for collaboration as well as quiet spaces and private meeting rooms will be accessible to members. Lifestyle elements, including exciting food and beverage options, a 20-meter outdoor lap pool, a gym space run by a boutique fitness provider, a sky garden, a bar and a member’s lounge will be available. Events will be a core component of The Working Capitol on Robinson, with space available for hire and areas set aside for regular member gatherings.
