Ancorian Developers To Transform Warehouse Into Mixed-Use Concept With Coworking, Retail
Warehouse to be transformed into coworking and retail space by Ancorian Developers
Houston-based real estate development company Ancorian has announced plans to convert a 44K SF warehouse into a mixed-use environment on 2339 Canal St. in Houston’s East Downtown. The East village is a post-industrial neighborhood riddled with arts and entertainment.
The development, branded as “The Block”, is said to include a coworking space, as well as retail and restaurants. Method Architecture is taking the reins on architecture and Course Construction is the general contractor of The Block.
Ancorian is known in the development world, having been apart of the East Village redevelopment project that included several clubs and restaurants.
“The Urban Land Institute Houston recently named East Village, along with eight others, as a finalist for the 2019 Development of Distinction Awards,” according to bisnow.com “The award recognizes developments and open spaces that demonstrate best practices in design, construction, economic viability, healthy places, marketing and management.”
