Coworking spaces in hotels could be the next trend in office spaces

Variations of coworking spaces are becoming as popular as the offices themselves. While some spaces are tailored to specific job forces, others bring together a community of workers from different corners of the job market. Now, some firms have started to merge the hospitality of a hotel and the productivity of a coworking space to create a brand new experience for clients.

AccorHotels and Nextdoor, a separate entity from the San Francisco social networking service of the same name, have partnered up to test the managing coworking spaces within hotels. One location has already opened in the Mercure Paris Montmartre Sacre Coeur.

AccorHotels has other projects in the works in Ibis Styles Melbourne, Biel-Bözingen, and Novotel Santa Cruz de la Sierra.
