SAN DIEGO (October 15, 2019) — Deskpass, the innovative leader in shared workspace access, announced today that its monthly subscription service is now available in the San Diego area to give remote workers and freelancers a convenient and affordable way to check out a curated selection of shared workspaces and conference rooms.
“We are pleased to bring Deskpass to San Diego, one of the most dynamic cities in the country for remote work,” said Sam Rosen, cofounder and CEO of Deskpass. “San Diego’s coworking capacity has grown by 25 percent in the past year alone. With the rapidly growing demand for flexible work options and so many to choose from, it can be challenging to find a space that fits your needs and personality. Deskpass allows you to try multiple locations without having to make a pricey long-term commitment.”
Using its website or mobile app, new subscribers can sign up for Deskpass’s “mini” plan at no cost and work at up to four locations per month. After the free trial the plan is $49 a month, representing a significant savings over the day rate at most spaces. Monthly Deskpass membership includes access to its entire network of more than 400 coworking locations and hundreds of hourly workspaces in more than a dozen cities nationwide. This includes 13 coworking locations and 8 meeting spaces in San Diego, such as Downtown Works downtown, CommonGrounds in Carlsbad and five Union Cowork locations throughout the region, with more coming soon. The website and mobile app allow members to filter locations by proximity, amenities, parking options and more.
For those who work remotely more often, the part-time plan includes up to eight visits a month for $99, and full-time members can use the service 20 times in a month — or every day Monday through Friday — for $199. Part-time and full-time members may visit each coworking space up to five times a month, and unused days roll over to the next month. Annual plans are also available.
“While some people are happy to work at home, many prefer a more active, inspiring and communal environment,” Rosen said. “Deskpass is the perfect transition tool for folks to get out of the house or the coffee shop and into a more professional, work-focused environment. We partner with a wide variety of providers, from local independent coworking spaces all the way up to multicity networks, making it a fantastic way to explore coworking and connect with a vibrant community of other remote workers.” He noted that nearly 4 million Americans now work from home more than half the week, according to a report by the job search company FlexJobs.
In addition to coworking options, Deskpass offers the ability to book hundreds of conference rooms, private offices, training centers and additional meeting spaces by the hour at a discounted rate. The service takes the legwork out of searching for a meeting room in an unfamiliar city, and makes the reservation process fast and easy.
