According to a new survey from consulting firm Robert Half, less than half of Canadian employees said their company offers remote work options, with 64% taking advantage of this offering.
Additionally, 61% of the 500 respondents said they work from home when they get the chance. “It’s important for organizations to keep their finger on the pulse of what attracts job seekers, and the ability to work remotely is clearly an offering many professionals look for,” said David King, senior district president of Robert Half. “To entice top talent, employers should assess where perks like alternative work options can fit within their organization in ways that allow workers the flexibility they want, without compromising business goals.”
Over half of senior managers said their company has expanded remote work options for employees according to another Robert Half survey. King stated that it is up to employers to equip their employees with modern tools and resources in order to keep their team engaged, productive and inspired, regardless of where they are working from.
