Workspaces offers flexible options for home-based and remote employees
New York โ March 1, 2021 โ American Express Global Business Travel (GBT), the worldโs leading business partner for managed travel, has launched a new workspace booking service for remote workers and small teams.
GBTโs Workspaces gives customers the ability to make flexible, daytime bookings of meeting venues, coworking spaces, guestrooms with desks, converted suites and small hotel meeting rooms, to use as work and collaboration spaces.
Workspaces bookings are made via GBTโs Meetings Express platform, which was launched in 2019 to offer customers a single global interface for sourcing small, simple, and recurring meetings. The Workspaces solution is supported via GBTโs partnership with the booking platform MeetingsBooker.com.
With more people working remotely and from home, the service is designed to serve the needs of employees who seek safe, productive places to work, and companies that need controllable, cost-efficient options for their staff to get together where office use is restricted. As travel returns, Workspaces will also provide options for people whose offices have not yet re-opened.
Workspaces offers secure, self-registration for travellers and a user-friendly booking experience. The tool aggregates content and enables customers to keep bookings within the corporate travel programme, giving visibility and control on spend and employee activity. Customers using Workspaces can also benefit from preferential rates, terms and amenities from GBTโs hotel partners.
