Canberra, Australia – Australia’s premium coworking provider Hub Australia has opened the doors to its eighth site. Located in Canberra’s new state-of-the-art Civic Quarter commercial building, the new workspace offering is attracting strong tenancy interest from leading private sectors including legal and technology, as well as government agencies and project teams.
Hub Civic Quarter, located at the gateway of the CBD at 68 Northbourne Avenue, is the first of Hub Australia’s spaces in Australia’s capital. The premium shared office accommodates up to 300 members across two executive-designed floors of the brand-new A-grade building development by Amalgamated Property Group (APG).
Hub’s renowned hospitality expertise was also selected by APG to manage the Civic Quarter Business Centre, servicing blue-chip tenants in the building including Westpac/St George, Colliers, AECOM and Datacom Australia.
Hub Australia CEO and Founder Brad Krauskopf said: “Hub Australia’s new 2000 square metre site fulfils a long-term goal to open a premium coworking space in Australia’s thriving capital city. It’s been exactly 10 years since we introduced coworking to Australia, and we were searching for the right site before taking the leap to Canberra.”
“At Civic Quarter, the focus on future-ready amenity, technology and sustainability perfectly aligned with the coworking offering we wanted to bring to Canberra. From scaling startups to government agencies, our premium flexible coworking solutions are ready to meet the needs of businesses of all sizes. We’re also looking forward to delivering our world-class hospitality service at the Civic Quarter Business Centre.”
He added: “It’s an exciting time for Hub Australia as workers return to the office and we meet market demand for flexible spaces with engaging lifestyle offerings, ultimately helping encourage staff back into workplaces. Canberra is the first of three Hub Australia sites confirmed to open in 2021, in addition to Hub Flinders Street in Melbourne and Hub Wynyard in Sydney.”
“The opportunity to partner with the landlord, APG, rather than a traditional tenant relationship, also aligned with our strategy to deliver premium amenity that adds value for the landlord beyond just the rent.”
Amalgamated Property Group General Manager Phil O’Brien said: “Civic Quarter has delivered the best new workplace design in Canberra, boasting sophisticated architecture and design that delivers on sustainability and wellness principles, with amenity that helps businesses attract and retain the highest calibre of personnel. Hub Australia’s coworking space is an essential element to the future of flexible working and we look forward to their tenancy and management of the Civic Quarter Business Centre.”
