As part of Vicinityโsย redevelopment plans for Box Hillย Northย and South, this 10-year partnershipย will further build on Vicinityโsย mixed-use strategy to complement its retail centres with workplace, residential, health, education,ย and leisure uses.ย ย

โThe coworking facilities will also complementย the retail redevelopment which isย currentlyย underway inย Box Hill South, withย a new Coles store, restaurantsย and a suite of otherย destinationalย retailers joining the mix.โย
Once completed, Hubโsย coworking space at Box Hill Central will feature flexible workspaces including suites, offices, and coworking desks. Aย range of sharedย amenities forย members will include a welcome desk with dedicated concierge, cafรฉ and business lounge, a range of formal and casual meeting spaces, relaxation rooms, podcast and media studio, a large member kitchen with full cooking facilities, and utility/printing areas.ย ย ย

In mid-2020, Vicinity lodged town planning applications for the development of a 42,000 square meter commercial office building, a hybrid residential and commercial building comprising 366 apartments and 7,000 square metres of retail and office space.ย ย
The plan includesย 3,350 square metres of new high quality public open space in Box Hill,ย made up of Spanish Steps-inspired amphitheatre and town square areas along with the creation of new walkways and roads to connect the precinctโs residential, commercial, transport, retail and hospitality offerings.ย ย
The first stageย ofย redevelopment hasย commencedย withย works to relocate Coles fromย theย existing Box Hill North component of the shopping centreย across toย Box Hillย South.ย ย
