Meta Signs Massive Lease In Austin’s Largest Skyscraper

Meta, the parent company of Facebook, has signed a lease to take up 33 floors totaling 589,000 square feet in Austin’s largest skyscraper, Sixth and Guadalupe.

Meta Signs Massive Lease In Austin Largest Skyscraper

Facebook’s parent company Meta Platforms has signed a hefty lease in Austin, Texas. 

Meta has leased 589,000 square feet that spans 33 floors of Austin’s tallest skyscraper Sixth and Guadalupe, which has a total of 66 floors. The office is slated to open in 2023.

“We first came to Austin over 10 years ago with just seven employees, now over 2,000 of us are proud to call Austin home,” said Katherine Shappley, the head of Meta’s Austin office. “We’re committed to Austin and look forward to growing here together.”   

In addition to its physical expansion in the city, Meta is looking to hire 400 more employees in the area.
