Remember when most people didn’t know what coworking was?
If you’re anything close to a veteran in this industry, you remember what it was like to explain the concept of coworking. But one of the upsides of the pandemic-induced shift to remote work over the past two years is this: Today, most people understand exactly what coworking is.
However, within our industry, our own parameters are shifting. Coworking doesn’t always look like it used to. And now there’s a new descriptor that we’ve added to our vernacular: Flex.
Flex is coworking. Coworking is flex. But flex is so much more to the people and companies who need it. There is a lot of fear around flex and remote work, but there is always fear in the face of change, especially when we are pushed to change by external forces – such as a global pandemic. When you really challenge the pushback to a full return to the office, you’ll see the fear is that people won’t do their best; they won’t perform.
The data says otherwise. Remote solutions empower people to perform at their best.
