Jen Cho, former chief marketing officer and CEO of The Wing, has stepped down from her role at the coworking firm, just five months after filling the position.

IWG, which owns a majority stake in the coworking firm, has named its chief commercial officer Fatima Koning to serve as the new CEO.

The Wing has experienced a slew of CEOs since the exit of cofounder Audrey Gelman in 2020, which came after accusations emerged that staff were being mistreated.

Following her departure, cofounder Lauren Kassan took over the role in spring of 2021, but is no longer affiliated with the company.

During her five-month leadership, Cho helped roll out The Wing’s new tiered membership system, which will continue to operate under Koning.

Cho was also initially in charge of helping the Wing expand its European presence and opening six new locations across the continent by the end of the year.

While the spokeswoman did not indicate if this was still the goal, Koning lives in Amsterdam and will continue to operate from there, which could help the company’s ambitions.
