As the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) begins a 30-day shutdown of its Orange Line and part of its Green Line, a coworking firm is hoping to support workers during this major commute delay.
IWG has opened up free access to 31 of its coworking locations across the Greater Boston area, allowing professionals to work two days per week until September 19.
By providing alternative workplace options, IWG hopes to accommodate professionals who want to avoid the nightmarish commute but still work closer to their homes.
Surrounding locations that will offer free access Andover, Burlington, Middleton, Wakefield, Dedham, Hingham, Quincy, Newton, Concord, Framingham, Marlborough, Waltham and three in New Hampshire.
“Flexible workspaces are on the rise in Boston and around the country because workers want to work from a local office close to home part of the time, and we look forward to welcoming Boston employees to our centers to collaborate, connect and share ideas,” said Jeff Doughman, President of IWG North America.
