After a dip in usership, Zoom is looking to expand its services as it preps for the new year.
During its Zoomtopia conference, the virtual meeting platform introduced new measures that will help professionals from all over the world to easily work remotely.
For instance, the company revealed that it will expand its traditional Zoom meeting service to encourage more casual hangouts and collaborative meetings, called Zoom Spots.
“Coming in early 2023, Zoom Spots is Zoom’s virtual coworking space,” the company stated.
“It is designed to foster inclusive discussions, bringing the fluid interactions of in-person work to distributed, hybrid teams throughout their work day. Zoom Spots replicates the ‘working alongside’ aspect of an open office for workers and encourages free-form video-first conversations.”
In addition to Zoom Spots, the company will integrate email and a calendar into its main app, allowing users to seamlessly move between all work-necessary apps. As part of the integration, the company will launch its own email and calendar services.
