International Workplace Group (IWG) has announced plans to open 17 new coworking spaces across the Philippines in 2025. The expansion comes in response to the growing demand for flexible workspaces as hybrid working continues to gain popularity, according to Business World.
Mark Dixon, founder and CEO of IWG, highlighted the rising need for high-quality, adaptable office solutions, saying, “The need for high-quality flexible workspaces continues to soar as hybrid working becomes the new normal.”
IWG reportedly aims to meet this demand with new locations in both urban centers and key regional areas.
The new hybrid working centers, under IWG’s Regus, HQ, and Spaces brands, will be located in various cities across the country, including Makati, Cavite, Tarlac, Batangas, Tuguegarao, Ilagan, Antipolo, Santiago, Pampanga, Malolos, and Montalban, Rizal.
This expansion will bring the total number of IWG’s flexible workspaces in the Philippines to 50 by the end of 2025, up from 33 by the end of this year.
The new locations will offer a range of amenities such as private offices, meeting rooms, and creative coworking spaces. In addition, IWG’s “Design Your Own Office” service will allow businesses to customize their workspaces to suit their needs.
Key developments include the opening of the first Regus center in Antipolo in partnership with Metro Retail Stores Group, Inc., and a new center in Lipa, Batangas, expected to open in the first quarter of 2025.
The Batangas location will serve the growing demand for workspaces in the CALABA (Cavite-Laguna-Batangas) region, known for its strong business process outsourcing (BPO) sector and rapid commercial growth.
IWG is also partnering with Aurora Subic Leisure, Inc. to open a Regus center at the Subic Bay Freeport Zone in Pampanga.
Other centers planned for 2025 include locations in Parañaque, Bohol, Carmona, Victoria de Makati, and Mabalacat, Pampanga.
Additionally, IWG is expanding through partnerships with XRC Resources, Inc., with new centers set to open in Xentro Mall in Batangas City, Metro Shoppers Mall in Tarlac, and other cities in Luzon.
These new centers are part of IWG’s broader strategy to cater to the growing demand for flexible office solutions in the Philippines, where hybrid workspaces are expected to take up 30% of corporate real estate by 2030, according to real estate services firm JLL.
