International Workplace Group (IWG), the operator behind Regus, Spaces and HQ, will open three new flexible work centers in Nigeria in early 2026, expanding its presence in West Africa as companies continue moving toward distributed office use.
New Centers Across Major Cities
The upcoming locations will open in:
- Abuja, Jabi district – February 1, 2026
- Port Harcourt, PH Tower – February 28, 2026
- Kano, Zoo Road – April 1, 2026
Together they add more than 2,600 square meters of workspace. Local property owners partnered with IWG to convert existing real estate into shared offices designed for shorter commitments and on-demand use, according to Business Day.
IWG now operates in more than 121 countries with over one million rooms available to members.
Expansion Follows Record Financial Results
The openings follow the company reporting its highest revenue, cash flow and earnings to date, along with rapid network growth. In the first half of 2025 alone, it signed and opened more locations than during its first decade in business.
The company also added hundreds of partner sites in 2024 and serves a large majority of Fortune 500 firms.
Companies Rework How They Use Offices
Employers increasingly combine remote work with local offices closer to where employees live instead of relying on a single headquarters. Flexible offices allow teams to meet when needed while reducing unused space.
Research cited by IWG suggests hybrid schedules can raise productivity and lower operating costs. The company estimates average savings of about $11,000 per employee.
Flexible workspace is projected to represent roughly 30% of commercial real estate by 2030.
