Intel Is Prioritizing Hybrid Work For Its Employees Around The Globe

Intel is taking a “hybrid-first” approach to its operations as the company prioritizes preparing its employees for the future of work.

According to Christy Pambianchi, executive vice president and chief people officer of Intel, the company is seeking to create a “dynamic, flexible and inclusive workplace that enables all our 110,600 employees to do their best work.”

Rather than swiftly creating new policies throughout each uncertain roadblock the pandemic has presented, Intel is using its own data and analytics to drive its work decisions.

For instance, the company used employee feedback from around the world to understand what arrangement they preferred, which revealed that 90% of respondents would rather have hybrid arrangements when offices reopen.

Deel - Upgrade your global team management

According to Amber Wiseley, vice president of global benefits at Intel, the majority of Intel employees will abide by a hybrid model that will allow them to split their time between remote working and being in the office.

However, Intel will also require certain roles, like those in labs and manufacturing, to be onsite full-time.

A smaller number of employees will have the ability to work remotely full-time depending on their position, and those workers will still need to come into Intel sites when necessary.
