Remote Working Is Going To Continue Evolving Business Operations

A new survey from The Harris Poll shows that the majority of businesses believe that their operations will return to pre-pandemic normalcy entering into the first quarter of 2022.

According to the survey, which was commissioned by Express Employment Professionals, hiring managers stated that business continuity relied on remote working (46%), as well as being an essential business (36%).

Another 33% stated that having a plan in case of a crisis helped them operate throughout this time.

Human resource management has also seen permanent changes over the past two years, with 3 in 10 of respondents predicting that there will be continued adjustments in leadership to accommodate a more flexible workforce, offering more training capabilities, and preparing for less employee interactions.

“We have to change our company culture to include more flexibility and allow for more coaching,” said Nancy Reed, franchise owner at Express Employment Professionals. “The rigid rules and performance management initiatives will have to be revisited, such as attendance and coachable infractions. Technology will continue to make a huge impact on companies allowing remote work for the foreseeable future.”
