Convene’s first location outside of the U.S. is nothing if not impressive. It’s located at 22 Bishopsgate, the second tallest building in London, based in the capital’s Financial District.

Convene will occupy two floors, with approximately 80% of the new space dedicated to meetings and events. Combined, these two floors will be equipped to host 7 concurrent events, with spaces to host theatre-style forums for 400+ attendees, small gatherings, or a reception style format that can suit over 600 attendees across ten rooms on both floors.

The location will also feature membership opportunities, which offers a private club-like experience. Members will also be able to take advantage of nine small meeting rooms, suitable for client pitches, one-on-one presentations, or small working groups.

Among the key design features are windows that allow 60% more light into the building than normal glass. For commuters, there are bike parks and showers in the basement, and a ‘Market’ on the second floor, offering everything from coffee shops and bars to “changing street-food style stalls.”

The building integrates facial recognition software to grant or prevent access, and a building app that allows companies to book guests, and control ambient temperature effortlessly.

Convene will run the space under a partner agreement with 22 Bishopsgate. 25% of Convene’s existing portfolio, and 80% of its current pipeline is also run under a management or partnership agreement.

Convene’s new London location is set to open in May 2022.
