- The European coworking industry will meet in Valencia from April 26-27, 2022, for the Coworking Spain Conference.
- More than 200 coworking professionals from all over Europe are expected to attend the event.
- This is the 11th event in the Coworking Spain Conference series and features 36 speakers across dozens of talks, panels, and workshops.
From April 26th to April 27th, 2022, the eleventh Coworking Spain Conference 2022 (CWSC), one of the most important events in the sector in Europe, will be held in the city of Valencia.
The meeting will bring together more than 200 industry professionals (35% international) and will include the participation of coworking providers, flex office services, coliving, real estate companies, as well as the presence of Human Resources managers and, of course, entrepreneurs and freelancers.
In addition, the programme will be extended until 28 April to include the Flex Work Academy, a masterclass created by and for professionals in the sector that reviews the key issues for the correct management of a coworking space.
Spain has positioned itself as the second-best country to work remotely thanks to the speed of the internet, and the large number of coworking spaces and visas for freelancers. It has more than 1,200 coworking spaces, which represents 6% internationally (19,000 worldwide).
The pandemic hit the industry hard, but it has been able to bounce back throughout 2021. Over the past year, interest in a new working model has led to record-breaking coworking and flexible office hires.
“The industry has gone from being a niche option in a decade to being the answer for companies of all types and sizes that need greater flexibility in their workspaces for the future. In this edition, the CWSV will reflect the plurality of the sector by combining two complementary visions: one based on community and people, and the other on the business models around these initiatives”, says Manuel Zea, CEO of CoworkingSpain.
For two days, CWSC 2022 will showcase the most innovative trends in the industry worldwide. From the development of urban coworking and flexible offices, as well as the creation of small community spaces in rural environments. Through 28 conferences and workshops, one-to-one sessions, 12 panels and six keynotes, new work concepts will be explored, sharing new ideas, concerns and skills that will respond to the challenges of the sector. A total of 36 national and international speakers (35%) will participate.
The sector in figures
The figures of the sector at national level, its size and its evolution over the last decade will be presented in the panel called ‘An Overview of Coworking in Spain’, prepared by the online platform CoworkingSpain, responsible for the organisation of the CWSC.
In the last 10 years, the CWSC has brought together 1,600 on-site attendees and 3,500 virtual attendees. 232 conferences have been held and 257 speaker shave participated. CWSC was the first coworking conference to incorporate a code of conduct in 2018. It is now part of its ethical and social responsibility positioning, recognising and committing to the principles of gender quality. The code represents a commitment for all meeting participants.
