WeWork Signs Lease On Green Street In Chicago

WeWork has committed to its second new Chicago location this year, taking up 93,500 square feet in one of the city’s most bustling commercial real estate markets.

WeWork is moving forward with a new location in Chicago’s Fulton Market.  

In 2019, the coworking firm was eyeing surrounding buildings while 167 Green Street was still in construction, but scrapped those leases when it paused expansion plans in 2020.

Now, the company has committed to its second new Chicago location this year, taking up 93,500 square feet in one of the city’s most bustling commercial real estate markets. The new space marks WeWork’s 11th location in Chicago.   

Earlier this year, WeWork opened a 62,000 square feet location on North LaSalle Street in River North.

Workspace Geek - Coworking Management Made Simple

The 750,000 Green Street building completed construction in 2020 and has since landed a number leases thanks to its attractive amenities, such as outdoor terraces, a full-length basketball court, and more. 

“Chicago is a thriving city with a supportive business community, strong talent and a clear demand for workplace flexibility,” said Robin Cardoso, Vice President of WeWork Central, West, and West Canada. “Chicago is continually embracing flexibility, and we’re excited to continue to grow here.”
