Payment services company PayU is introducing new policies that aim to better support LGBTQ+ employees.
The Dutch company already has a zero-tolerance policy against harassment, but wants to do more to create a truly equitable workforce.
For starters, PayU stated that its internal operations are gender-neutral and supports workers across the gender spectrum.
But to further this inclusivity, PayU has included updates to its insurance policies that make accessing hormone therapy and gender affirmation surgery much easier.
The firm also reviewed its Equal Opportunity Employer Policy that prioritizes giving workers of the LGBTQ+ community and their partners access to equal opportunities.
PayU has also created a Global Diversity & Inclusion Council that helps ensure that all regions are abiding by these policies and that employees all over the world are being treated with fairness.
