According to data from Kastle Systems, the answer is no, with just 30% of office workers coming into the office on Fridays last month.

In fact, the findings revealed that coming into the office just before or following a weekend is not ideal, with Monday being the second least popular day to come into the office.

While Tuesdays and Wednesday were the most popular days for office workers, they still only saw a 50% capacity.

Is this the end of Fridays? It appears that more and more employees believe so.

Some employers established Summer Fridays to help motivate workers and give them flexibility to enjoy the nice weather. However, the mass popularity of hybrid work models has validated the concept of Annual Fridays.

Four-day work weeks have certainly taken the spotlight as one of the ideal arrangements in the post-pandemic era. In fact, a survey from Qualtrics shows that 72% of U.S. workers preferred this arrangement even if it meant working longer hours on other days.

While many leaders have been resistant to accepting this type of change, focusing on output rather than attendance numbers will be key to staying afloat during economic uncertainty and the Great Resignation.
