What The Workplace Industry Can Learn From Future Hospitality Trends

The hospitality industry has remained agile with its varying models over the last several years. As the new year approaches, it’s vital for others corners of the global workforce to take note.

One market that certainly can stand to learn from hospitality’s moves is the workplace industry.

Even prior to the crises of 2020, workspaces and offices began to shift to more user-friendly services and amenities, rather than being a place for people to get work done by offering basic printers and maybe a coffee machine.

So what can be expected from the future of hospitality? And how will this impact the future of work?

In recent months, digital nomads have become a huge driver of revenue for hospitality companies as more organizations pivot to a hybrid or remote work model. Now that so many professionals can work from anywhere, many are packing their bags and taking their projects on the road from wherever they please.

Because of this, hospitality firms have started adjusting their offerings to better accommodate traveling professionals, including adding deluxe office amenities to hotel rooms or incorporating unique coworking spaces in hotel lobbies. Others have even introduced a daily rentable model that allows users to use a hotel room as an office during the work day.

Not only does this better accommodate the new spike in digital nomads, but it also provides hospitality companies the opportunity to build loyalty with customers and ensure they return to their hotel on their next trip.

Similarly, hospitality companies are likely to emphasize their wellness in the future as well. With burnout levels soaring to all-time highs in recent years, hotels want to serve as a one-stop-shop for digital nomads, giving them the opportunity to have a productive work day, then unwind with a massage within the same space.
