Virtual Offices Have The Ability To Replace Offices According To This CEO

The term of virtual office has been used to loosely describe many pariahs of the industry. But for Adam Riggs, it means one thing only: a connected, technology-driven workplace.

The CEO of Frameable recently sat down with Allwork.Space’s Future of Work Podcast to explain how virtual offices can go beyond typical video conferencing software to create a truly immersive, remote work environment.

After the company’s lease was up at the onset of the pandemic, Riggs decided to take the company remote with the help of the tools necessary to keep operating.

“[We] quickly realized that we really had all the tools and vision that we needed to build a compatible, sort of easy-to-use corollary experience that could replace the physical office.”

But Riggs adds that incorporating video conferencing software for meetings is just the beginning — a truly immersive virtual office work experience means nurturing an environment “where serendipitous interactions can happen, where collisions can happen, where you can find yourself pulled into things that you weren’t planning on making a contribution to.”

By doing so, Riggs says that creates an agile, flexible environment, while helping workers achieve the satisfaction they so often crave — among the most important factors in a good ROI.

“Employees that are happy, that are more engaged, that are able to have a better balance at work, are going to do better work,” said Riggs. “And as a result, the customers and the beneficiaries of that organization’s products and services, they’re going to get a better result.”
