New Survey: 82% Of U.S. Workers Appreciate Company Culture And Values That Matches Their Own

What’s going on:

A new workforce confidence survey conducted by LinkedIn Market Research revealed that 8 in 10 U.S. Workers want employers whose values to match their own, according to LinkedIn’s Workforce Insights.

LinkedIn Market Research conducted the survey where 25,468 professionals in the U.S. participated from Dec. 3, 2022-March 10, 2023.

Analysis of the survey results reveals that most professionals working within the Human Resources and marketing fields agreed with the statement, with 91% of those in Human Resources and 90% of those in Marketing. Results from other fields surveyed include Community and social services, Legal, Military and protective services, and Entrepreneurship with 89%, 76%, 74%, and 69% respectively.

Why it matters:

Employees have more of a choice when searching for new jobs in competitive job markets. The new LinkedIn survey results provide greater insight into how many working professionals research “employer brands”. Often, companies state corporate values that touch on social and environmental topics, which companies place emphasis on promoting.

How it’ll impact the future:

While the idea of a corporate culture has been around for decades, it’s also common for companies to place more of an emphasis on corporate values that are unique and clear – to attract top talent.
