The 27th Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For list was released this week, showcasing top employers that are successfully adapting to the changing demands in the workforce.  

Most notably, the list is filled with companies that boast hybrid work arrangements. According to a report published by Fortune, only two out of the 100 companies on this year’s list require employees to be onsite four or more days out of the week.

The list suggests the growing importance of creating empathetic workplaces that cater to the needs of individual employees who seek meaningful work and diverse, supportive environments. 

According to Fortune’s analysis, compiled in collaboration with the Great Place to Work Institute, the top 10 best companies to work for in 2024 were:

  3. Nvidia 
  4. American Express 
  5. Synchrony Financial 
  6. Wegmans Food Markets 
  7. Accenture 
  8. Marriot International  
  9. Cadence Design Systems 
  10. Comcast NBCUniversal 

Among the top-ranked companies, Hilton took #1 reportedly for its commitment to diversity and advancing employee careers. Cisco, in second place, was recognized for fostering a comforting work environment, while Synchrony Financial, at fifth, has cultivated a distinctive culture post-GE split.  

According to Fortune’s report, competitive wages also remain a key factor for placing high on the list, as suggested by Nvidia’s high ranking — which reflects the benefits employees have received from the company’s strong financial performance in recent months. 

The top companies on the list prioritize employee well-being by providing wellness benefits and fostering diverse and inclusive workplaces. The data from the survey suggests that businesses on this list demonstrate loyalty to their employees and emphasize the needs of individuals through various company-wide initiatives.
