NEW YORK, NY (August 26, 2020) – Industrious, the largest premium workplace provider and leading ‘work from anywhere’ platform in the U.S., today announced its partnership with Pedcor Companies to operate a new location in Carmel, Indiana. The deal brings 27,000 square-feet of flexible office space to Carmel City Center, a thriving mixed-use destination with premier residential, retail, entertainment and dining amenities just 30 minutes north of Indianapolis. Together with its Massachusetts Avenue location, Carmel City Center marks Industrious’ second space in the greater Indianapolis area and brings its total footprint to more than 45,000 square-feet in the market.
“We continue to offer more options for where and how workers can do their jobs safely, comfortably and with lower commutes, and Carmel City Center is a perfect opportunity to deliver on that promise,” said Justin Stewart, President and Co-Founder of Industrious. “This is a vibrant business community bringing people together across industries, passions and professions, and we can’t wait to bring Industrious members into the fold next year.”
“We are very excited to partner with Industrious to bring a diverse mix of businesses to the core of Carmel,” said Bruce Cordingley, President and CEO of Pedcor Companies. “Industrious has a long standing reputation of building flexible and creative workspaces that provide an environment for businesses to thrive. We look forward to welcoming those businesses and their clients to the Carmel City Center community.”
“This is an exciting project for our central corridor, especially as we have seen an increase in the number of professionals working from home. There is clearly still a need to gather for professional business meetings and that need will continue as more businesses become flexible in their workplace expectations,” said City of Carmel Mayor Jim Brainard. “Carmel strives to offer options for businesses and professionals working to succeed in a community that supports each other and values shared success.”
Industrious Carmel City Center will feature private offices and shared workspaces for teams of various sizes, and is expected to open in Q2 2021. The offices will be on the first floor of The Holland & Playfair Buildings located at 880 Monon Green Boulevard, where members can commute easily to-and-from Downtown Indianapolis via the Monon Greenway. Industrious Carmel City Center will feature access to wifi-enabled outdoor patio and courtyard workspace, conference amenities and convenient parking, along with the boutique Hotel Carmichael onsite.
