The program will see WeWork work alongside city representatives to reevaluate their workspaces and incorporate the proper tools that make flexible working more tangible.

WeWork COO Samit Chopra says that enterprise companies are increasingly leaning on these workspaces to cut costs and accommodate the growing demand for flexible work arrangements.

On August 26, WeWork announced a new partnership with working mom resource company Laddrr with the goal of helping moms return to the workforce.

According to CommercialEdge’s recent monthly report, analysts reported a likely expansion of the flexible space sector in the next few years.

“The operating environment since reopening our six current locations of The Wing, 14 months ago has continued to prove extremely challenging,” the company stated.

Leaders are reevaluating their office space needs both in the context of preparing for an incoming recession and meeting the demands of employees.

The 40% expansion will incorporate 24 new private offices, as well as one-to-two person spaces in San Diego’s Downtown area.

IWG has opened up free access to 31 of its coworking locations across the Greater Boston area, allowing professionals to work two days per week until September 19. 

The growth in demand for shared offices is tied to various factors, including the desire to cut costs and the embrace of remote and hybrid work arrangements.
