In a move to simplify business networking, LinkedIn is rolling out a new version of its profile pages. The profiles are more visual, with bigger pictures and tools that make it easier to edit and display the latest activity at the top.
“LinkedIn is about connecting talent with opportunity at massive scale. We’re not just talking about the tools to enable people to find their dream jobs. We’re also talking about tools that enable people to be great at the jobs that they already have,” said CEO Jeff Weiner during a press event.
“Our exclusive focus is professionals. Over time, what we’ve seen is that there’s really only a handful of companies in the world that connect hundreds of millions, if not billions, of people in milliseconds. There’s only one social platform, LinkedIn, that has that exclusive focus on a professional context.”
LinkedIn’s Business Hookup
If you aren’t on LinkedIn, you should be. And if you don’t have a LinkedIn Company Page, you need one. Professionals in all manners of industry are on LinkedIn.
The latest numbers indicate there are 175 million members globally – and 175,000 new profiles are created daily. Three billion people conducted searches on the platform, 25 million profiles are viewed daily, and the site sees 135 million monthly unique visitors.
By maintaining visibility on the sites, you can increase brand awareness for yourself and your business center. LinkedIn Company Pages aim to give people a place to stay on the loop on company news, products and services, business opportunities and job openings. It’s an opportunity for your business center to tell your company’s store, highlight your products and services, engage with followers, share career opportunities, and drive word of mouth at scale.
