Green Kinnear Real Estate (GKRE) has launched a survey of small businesses, to gauge their reaction to the EU Referendum. GKRE are on a mission to find out what a potential BREXIT would mean for small businesses, and how it will influence the vote on 23 June.
We are consistently told that small businesses are the driving force behind the UK economy. However, the views of small firms have often been underrepresented in the EU debate. It is vital that this changes, as 60% of private sector employees are employed by a small business.
GKRE is the only UK agency that specialises exclusively in selling and acquiring business centres in the flexible workspace sector. They work on behalf of operators who deliver flexible space for large corporate firms, small businesses, freelancers and the self-employed. GKRE’s clients are exceptionally well positioned to respond to the needs and requirements of small businesses and the company is committed to supporting their role in the market.
The survey asks respondents what their current exposure is to the EU and how they think the outcome of the Referendum will affect them. GKRE is aiming to canvas as many small firms as possible, of different shapes, sizes and sectors. The survey can be accessed here.
GKRE will collate and analyse all of the responses, and share them with industry leaders, the media and policy makers.
As many small businesses as possible are being urged to take part. All responses will remain anonymous and it only takes a few minutes to complete.
Douglas Green of GKRE, said:
“Small businesses are the driving force behind the UK. They are the Litmus Test for the British economy and it is so important that we understand how the EU Referendum will affect them.
“That is why we are launching our EU Survey. We want to know what small firms think of the debate and if they stand to lose out or benefit from a vote to leave.
“We are aware that the conversation has centred on the economy, defence, sovereignty and immigration. Whilst these are important topics, the health of small businesses has not featured heavily in discussion.
“Our findings will be used to help flexible workspace providers cater for small businesses, and to understand what the effects of a potential BREXIT might be.
“I would urge small businesses to fill out the survey, and let us know what you think. It only takes a few minutes and will help us influence the market to support them.”
