As for the brand’s links with Regus, it’s no secret that the business centre giant has made a significant impact on Spaces’ global expansion. How did the partnership with Regus unfold – and how has Spaces adapted to life in the fast lane?
“At some point we found that lots of cities around the world could do with a place like Spaces. Better yet, not a place like Spaces; an actual Spaces. And that’s where Regus came around,” Frederique explained.
“It enabled us to grow rapidly around the globe and create a true network of inspiring locations to work and meet. Because that’s also the strength of Spaces – its connectivity between different locations, the fact that you can do your work in Amsterdam but also in San Francisco. And that you can meet with likeminded people around the globe.”
Commenting on the partnership, she added:
“Of course with every fast-growing business it is a challenge to keep up. With our growth it is a challenge to keep quality and creativity, but also aspects like event programming or staffing on a good quality level. Sometimes it goes better than expected and sometimes worse, but that’s called ‘growing’ a business.”
Growing pains certainly haven’t dampened Spaces’ spirits. Indeed, the team is forging ahead with long-term goals, with growth of Spaces remaining “our biggest ambition and challenge”.
Frederique concludes, “Good design helps to accomplish that, together with the best people, a program of interesting events, and the best services.
“And of course good quality coffee.”
