WeWork Leads Series B Funding Round For The Wing
The women-only coworking club The Wing raised US$32 million on a Series B round led by none other than coworking giant, WeWork. (Before we continue, let’s just add that this is one of the biggest funding rounds raised by women in recent history!) Forbes reported that The Wing will use the funds to expand their workspace club footprint to other cities. According to Forbes, “WeWork’s investment won’t result in any co-branding or shared spaces, but will mean The Wing has access to a vast real estate pipeline”.

We’ve already established that India is one of the hottest coworking growth markets in the world. Just a few days ago, Entrepreneur published a list with 50 of the coolest coworking spaces in India–and we were glad to see some familiar names like Awfis, The Hive, and WeWork.

Coworking Spaces Gives Journalists Access To $1 Workspace
Technical.ly Brooklyn reported this week that Cosmo Lee, owner of Park Slope Desk coworking, will be offering local journalists, during the entirety of the winter, access to a desk for a the small fee of US$1. The offer, however, is valid only for reporters that are covering local news and events.
