29 January 2018 – i2 Office today announces a rebrand of its workspace network as Landmark, following the acquisition of Landmark PLC in 2017. The rebrand is part of a wider move to draw together the strongest credentials of both companies – especially in the area of client care – reinforcing the firm’s position as the country’s leading provider of professional, flexible workspace.
In tandem with the rebrand, Landmark has launched a new style and enhanced choice of workspaces carefully aligned with the evolving market, including the option of a fully bespoke private floor for up to 100 people, and after a successful trial, Club Desk, a membership programme that offers unlimited access to a productive space for every task. These developments are firmly guided by the principle that today’s businesses are seeking a blend of professionalism, prestige and client care in stylish, modern environments.
Plans to grow network to 65 locations by 2020
Continuing its growth plan to double the size of the business between 2015 and 2020, the new Landmark brand will capitalise on its strengthened proposition and rising demand for flexible workspace to extend its network to over 65 locations by 2020.
John Spencer, Chief Executive Officer at Landmark (formerly i2 Office) comments: “The acquisition of Landmark and decision to rebrand our network signals an exciting new era of opportunity and growth for our colleagues, clients, partners and investors alike. The combined strengths, heritage and shared values of both companies form a compelling offering in today’s market, where there is huge demand for premium workspace with personality.
“Across our 44 locations, our largest customer segment could be described as ‘proudly established’ SMEs who have experienced a range of office styles but who do not comfortably identify with the ‘funkier’, more informal coworking hubs where high-fives replace handshakes. They want to be inspired by their workspace, but their primary need is for a professional environment that encourages productivity. Our client feedback shows that we excel at the important basics – such as transparent pricing, secure superfast wifi and 24/7 building access – but really set ourselves apart by offering a wide choice of high-quality spaces and our commitment to looking after our clients, in particular with our renowned concierge-style service. We call this approach Professional Working.”
Clients value professionalism over creative vibe
In the experience of Landmark, and corroborated by client surveys and independent research, there is a marked preference among mature SMEs for workspaces that feel professional above those that feel creative. Based on this preference, the company has designed its range of workspaces to strike a balance between inspiring and professional.
Club Desk, for instance, offers a mix of different spaces but all are uniquely business-like, from the quiet zones with private working pods, to the collaboration space with hot desks, to the social zone with a free coffee bar.
Landmark locations typically offer a range of high quality private offices, meeting rooms, a drop-in business lounge and Virtual Office services. Selected locations also offer Club Desk and bespoke private floors.
About Club Desk
Club Desk – work-ready spaces for every task
Club Desk is a workspace membership programme from £250 per month, giving unlimited access to a wide range of different workspaces to help flexible workers stay productive, whether they require a hot desk, shared space, private working booth or just a coffee.
It is currently available at selected London locations: https://www.landmarkspace.co.uk/locations/ClubDesk
The purpose behind the space is to enable people to move around these zones, or workspaces, to perform their day-to-day tasks. Our zoning concept is a fundamental component of our professional working proposition and is based on in-depth analysis of why and how people need to use space. Using partitioning, we have created four distinct spaces based around the need for social, collaborative, private and meeting spaces.
Additional paid-for services available to Club Desk members include entry for up to three guests; lockers for hire; bookable meeting rooms; printing, scanning and photocopying; and Virtual Office services.
