Industrious Acquires Chicago-Based Coworking Company Assemble

NEW YORK— Industrious, the largest premium workplace provider in the U.S., today announced that it has acquired Assemble, a Chicago-based shared workspace provider. The deal will include 42,000 square feet of office space and all three of the Assemble offices: Wicker Park, Old Town and West Loop.

Founded in 2013, Industrious provides premium coworking and flexible workplace solutions to established companies and enterprises ranging from small businesses to Fortune 500 brands, including household names such as Lyft, Hyatt, Pandora and Chipotle. The company has seen extraordinary growth in the past year, now operating over 50 coworking spaces in 33 cities nationwide. Industrious currently runs three offices in Chicago – Evanston, Fulton Market and River North – and this acquisition will double Industrious’ Chicago presence.
