August 2018 — In response to increasing demand for high-quality premium office space in Asia, JustCo today announces that it has secured a lease for a four-storey space at the new Samyan Mitrtown in Bangkok, Thailand, targeted to open in October 2019. At Samyan Mitrtown, a mixed-use complex comprising premium commercial retail, office and residential space, JustCo will occupy 82,000 square feet as one of the project’s anchor tenant. This new opening, housing Thailand’s largest coworking community, adds on to JustCo’s current two Bangkok centres, at AIA Sathorn and Capital Tower.
According to JLL, the leasing demand for Grade-A office space is expected to remain robust, despite an estimated up to 7% rental increment across Southeast Asian regions.
Founder and CEO of JustCo, Mr. Kong Wan Sing highlights, “Marina One was JustCo’s first coworking centre situated within an award-winning Grade-A building in Singapore. We have seen a rise in demand for similar premium office spaces from large corporates and that is why we have a specialized JustCo Enterprise360 team in place, to help enterprises conceptualize, design and manage a workspace solution that best meets their business needs.”
At JustCo, members will automatically be connected to a large community of talented and like-minded individuals and businesses, where they can fully harness the effect of coworking by seeking new connections and explore new business opportunities through social and professional events organised by JustCo.
“Prospects for Southeast Asia’s Grade-A offices are now looking great. Our competitors are not just coworking providers, but also major commercial landlords who rent traditional office space to multinational corporations and other businesses.” Mr Kong Wan Sing added.
“Coworking is an emerging niche market in Thailand, and the partnership with Samyan Mitrtown will allow JustCo to meet the increased demand for premium working spaces.”
In Southeast Asia, flexible workspaces are becoming more of a priority with businesses recognizing the benefits and opportunities that coworking could bring.
Senior Vice President for Asset Development of Golden Land Property Development PLC, Ms. Piyawara Bhongse-tong stated that, “An innovative and collaborative environment are key features of coworking spaces today. With JustCo’s expertise in coworking space management and their scale of a regional collaborative community, we are assured that JustCo at Samyan Mitrtown will carry a strong foothold in carving out Bangkok’s future of work.”
In addition to the new centre at Samyan Mitrtown in Bangkok, JustCo will also build on its Southeast Asia’s expansion, with presence in Jakarta at three new centres – AIA Central, The Plaza and Sequis Tower. In Singapore, JustCo has also responded to the increasing coworking space demand with the launch of two newest coworking spaces at retail mall Marina Square, and iconic historic building MacDonald House in July.
