Improv Everywhere is revolutionizing the coworking space trend with phonebooth offices
Performance art group Improv Everywhere are hopping on the coworking space bandwagon— or are they?
The group transformed a couple of antiquated phone booths on Sixth Avenue in New York City and turned them into coworking cubicles. Office chairs, bulletin boards, desks, a set of potted plants, and exclusive high-speed wifi (belonging to the nearby Starbucks) are all they needed to make this antic a reality.
“Lots of people stopped to try out the booth, with different levels of skepticism,” the group wrote in a post about the stunt. “Unfortunately, no one signed up for [the] introductory $300/month rate,” they joked.
