WeWork is expected to open its 41st location, making it their largest London workspace and occupying all eight floors at Kennedy Wilson’s Europe Friar Bridge Court. Located on Blackfriars Road, this new workspace is near the Waterloo Conservation Area and a short distance from Waterloo and Blackfriars TfL stations.
“We are excited to have now concluded our first UK deal with WeWork, which also represents the largest letting of 2018 in this core Southbank market,” said Mike Pegler, head of asset management of Kennedy Wilson Europe. “We believe the ever-improving offer and local amenities of this location makes Friars Bridge Court work perfectly for WeWork’s members, which in turn will further add to the vibrancy of the area.”
Workspaces in Europe is expected to grow by 30% every year for the next five years, with WeWork being at the forefront of this growth.
Patrick Nelson, head of real estate for WeWork in EMEA & Australia, said that growing in London’s Southbank community is important and a reflection of their “dedication to this area and the city as a whole.” WeWork also recently announced that their largest European building, WeWork Waterloo, is set to open next year with over 6,000 members.
