Staples has announced a rebranding focused on “Worklife” in order to help professionals make their workplaces more productive and creative.
While this new “Worklife” focus on seems reminiscent of WeWork’s brand, Staples recently announced it would be ending its partnership with coworking company Workbar after testing out spaces at three of their stores.
Still, Chief Merchandising Officer Peter Scala said Staples would take what it learned from this go-around with coworking and use it to develop its own concept in the future.
The office supplies retailer also announced five private labels as part of the revamp: TRU Red standard office essentials; NXT Technologies such as speakers and chargers; Coastwide Professional facility supplies; Union & Scale office decor and furniture; and breakroom supplies sector Perk.
