Madrid, April 21, 2021 – The CWSC (Coworking Spain Conference), the most relevant coworking event in Spain, reaches its tenth edition and adapts the format to 100% online. Organized by Coworking Spain and Marc Navarro, the CWSC will be held during the month of May. More specifically every Tuesday and Thursday of the month.

This morning the news of the 2021 edition was presented at “The Valley”, which acts as the technical office of the conference. Manuel Zea, organizer of the CWSC, explained that “the sector is experiencing a year of inflection that has served to rethink and make decisions that must be adapted in an agile way to the new demands of the market”.

This edition, the CWSC, continues with its two main objectives, internationalization and gender equality. On one hand, it continues to bet on international speakers, 50% of the speakers are international, and as a responsible objective, they continue complying the objective of holding a parity conference. 50% of the speakers are women.

The great novelty of the conference this year is the adaptation of the conference to the online format and how attendees have changed their way of attending these types of events. As Zea has told us “the online format is completely different, attendees attend an online conference as if they were listening to the radio, for that reason we have fled from the two-day online conference format, and have adopted the online conference format for presentations of an hour spread over 8 days ”.

International Program

The CWSC will begin on May 4 with the welcome of Manuel Zea, founder of CoworkingSpain. The first presentation, The Next Office, will be given by Rubén Carreño, head of Advisory for Corporations at CBRE.

On May 6, one of the international presentations will take place by Sarah Colwell, Research Executive of The Instant Group, explaining how the sector has adapted to the dizzying speed this turning year.

On May 11 we will have three coworking references, which represent more than half of the market share in Spain. With the provocative title “The cold war of coworking”, Paula Almansa (Loom), Áurea Rivela (Utopicus) Philippe Jiménez (Regus-Spaces), will give us their opinion on how the flex office market evolves.

On May 13 we will have the presence of Pauline Roussel (CEO of Coworkies), our second international speaker, where she will explain the best learning that she has adopted traveling the world and visiting more than 250 coworking spaces.

At the CWSC equator, we will have the presence of Luis Pérez Corporate Real Estate Director who will give us his particular vision of the market in Latam. Oscar García Toledo will explain to us how FisrtWorkplaces has grown so much in recent years on May 25, and Ben Kolp will give us a master class on how to automate the tasks of coworking spaces to the maximum.

To finish, the conference will be closed by Iris Kavanagh and Laura Shook Guzmán, co-founders of Women Who Cowork, where they will explain how to create anti-harassment policies in Coworking Spaces.

History of the CWSC

It is good to look back and remember where we came from, see the beginnings and see what has been achieved.

The Coworking Spain Conference reaches its tenth edition after 8 physical editions, 1 edition in the middle of the pandemic, and has passed Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Seville and Alicante.

The CWSC has helped the sector grow and has been a meeting point for its evolution, it has served as a speaker for the industry and as a great learning space.

The conference serves industry professionals to gain knowledge and recognition within the industry.

Much value and prominence continues to be given to “masterclass” interventions by one or two speakers, with high-quality content for attendees.

Sponsors

This tenth edition is supported by strategic partners such as The Valley, which have provided the professional set where the event will be recorded and broadcast.

In addition, in the sponsors category they have Nexudus, a coworking space management software company, Crec Coworking, a company that offers coworking spaces in Barcelona; ISEO, an access control systems company and Cobot, a coworking software company.
