At a recent town hall meeting, DeskFlex CEO Dr. Shaun A. Passley expressed why companies can benefit from adopting scheduling apps and similar technology.

The event was held to emphasize what businesses need to do in order to manage ongoing issues that the modern workplace faces, especially in terms of the physical office.

Passley explained that by adopting newer technologies, organizations can both bring workers back into the office, as well as reduce their office footprint.

“With more businesses are confident that remote work is now practical, why would business leaders press to maintain large office footprints? It makes no business sense!” said Dr. Passley. “A feature-rich appointment scheduling software not only allows workers to more efficiently manage their schedules – but they can do it without coming into a bricks-and-mortar office.”

Using appointment software in particular, businesses can better manage their physical workspaces in a way that ensures occupancy stays at a safe level, and coordinate Covid-related sanitation practices as needed.

“The software will automatically alert maintenance teams that in-demand rooms, projectors, laptops and other equipment have been booked for use,” said Dr. Passley. “It will then aid in implementing a scheduled cleaning and disinfecting protocol.”
