Companies Unwilling To Accept Flexible Work Will See Increased Resignation

Forrester’s 2022 Predictions report anticipates that employee resignation rates will grow among the 30% of companies that do not adopt a work-from-anywhere approach.

In fact, Forrester expects that quit rates could grow up to 2.5% in 2022 until business leaders finally understand the necessity of adopting flexible work policies moving forward.

The predictions report uses analysis of how companies adopt different trends and technologies, such as customer experience, employee experience, and B2C and B2B marketing.

Next year, the report also expects that over 50% of adults in the U.S. will purchase from companies that have values that align with their own, highlighting the importance of environmental, social, and governance policies in the future.

Investments are also anticipated to shift towards creative tools, with Forrester predicting that 10% of technology leaders will prioritize investments towards partnership and innovation.

“Two years of tumult driven by the pandemic have led to an even more uncertain reality filled with escalating customer and employee expectations,” said Sharyn Leaver, SVP of research at Forrester. “In 2022, the need for these leaders to act quickly and intelligently in the moment has never been more critical. Creativity, resilience, and agility — fueled by greater customer understanding and smarter technology investments — will ultimately separate leaders from laggards in this new era, regardless of their industry.”
