Industrious has hired Craig Robinson, a former WeWork executive, as its new chief growth officer.
This news comes just a few months after the flexible office operator hired a new chief operating officer, who is to prepare the company for its anticipated initial public offering.
The role of chief growth officer was created as part of the company’s post-pandemic strategy to help facilitate the new demand flexible office operators are seeing from businesses large and small.
“This is one of those moments where we as a business are trying to navigate how things are playing out, and our customers are also trying to navigate it,” said Jamie Hodari, CEO of Industrious. “And there’s a recognition that nobody has all the answers. So you need a steady hand.”
Previously, Robinson was in charge of Powered By We, which is WeWork’s arm that provides real estate development, technology, and management services to both landlords and tenants.
Robinson left the role in August 2020 after WeWork re-shifted its focus to providing coworking services.
