Lenovo Predicts New Technology Trends For 2022

As the end of the year approaches, electronics company Lenovo has revealed its predictions for 2022 and how new technology will play a role in the shift to hybrid working.

The Lenovo 2022 Technology Predictions anticipates that new tech will impact not only traditional office settings, but healthcare environments and the consumer tech industry as a whole.

For starters, Lenovo’s own research shows that 83% of IT leaders expect at least half of work to be outside of the office. Because of this, the work-from-anywhere concept will become more solidified, meaning hybrid workers will require tools to make this arrangement feasible such as wireless headphones, smarter devices, and more.

Additionally, Lenovo predicts that passwords will no longer be the key to account security. Methods such as thumbprint and facial recognition on smartphones have already gained traction, and laptops are expected to follow suit.

Consumers demanding sustainability in the technology world will also see improvements to how certain tools are packaged and manufactured. Doing away with plastic and using recycled materials will become more popular practices moving forward.

AI has emerged as one of the most innovative technologies of the last few years, and moving forward it will continue to get more sophisticated. Through predictive technology, AI is anticipated to impact how workers communicate and collaborate.
