IWG will open a new suburban location in Altrincham for its Regus brand.

Regus will take up 10,000 square feet of the Church Street building located just outside of Manchester as part of IWG’s plans to address growing demand for workspaces in suburban areas.

“More and more, workers want to live in a 15-minute city, where everything they need, including where they work, is within 15 minutes of their home,” said Mark Dixon, CEO and founder of IWG.

According to Dixon, Regus 249 North and similar flexible workspaces will help “build self-sustaining communities” and boost economic activity.

The space, which will open later this month, will come to the market in partnership with the building’s owner Patrick Properties.

According to IWG, demand for their workspaces has grown by 27% over the last six months compared to the year prior, indicating a significant shift to more hybrid and flexible work policies.

As a result, it appears that big players within the flexible office industry are finally stabilizing after the pandemic threatened the future of their businesses.
